SHARKS UNLIMITED is an extreme catch and release experience for any angler, novice or professional. We are NOT a charter or guide service, but a group that enjoys sharing the awesome thrill of catching sharks for the experience, excitement and the research of our Bay of Fundy shark resource. We do our best to put anglers on BIG GAME sharks ranging from 100 pounds to 500 plus pounds! Big game sharks in the Bay of Fundy consist of Porbeagle, Thresher and Mako variety sharks that can reach lengths of 14 plus feet and over a thousand pounds!  The Bay of Fundy hosts some of the largest sharks in Eastern North America and fight time can translate into hours at the rod when hooked up. If you are looking for a fish of a lifetime, come out with us for a fishing experience you will never forget! Groups of 3-6 people are recommended and a rod time of 10-15 minutes usually will consist of a switch of anglers at the rod if you are hooked into a large shark.  Each person in the group will have a hand in fighting and landing a shark as well as taking on the duties of spotting incoming sharks, new fin spotter (in the case of a second shark coming in while hooked up), rod changeovers, line retriever on other rods and camera/video duty.

SHARKS UNLIMITED will be working closely with Dr. Turnbull of the University of New Brunswick on a research project of the Bay of Fundy Shark species that are caught and released by our group.  We will be tagging all sharks before releasing.

SHARKS UNLIMITED is located at the entrance/exit  to Fundy National Park at Alma, a major New Brunswick tourism town.  Captain Eric Lockhart and First mate Emmerson Simpson have combined 30+ years of fishing experience in the Fundy area.  Angling will be performed from a seaworthy 53 X 23.5 foot fishing vessel.

With some of the highest tides in the world, SHARKS UNLIMITED is limited to times we can sail, therefore, it is necessary to be on time and ready to leave.  We will supply you with a launch time that will allow us to load the boat and launch at high tide.  The Bay of Fundy is known for its varying weather patters, so it is suggested that you bring enough clothes that you can be prepared for cool days, rain and fog, and scorching sun.  It is too late once the boat has left dock.  Enough food, snacks and beverages to last 10-12 hours will be necessary.  Other items to consider are: Sunglasses, sunscreen, cameras and video recorders with extra film and batteries, hat for sun protection.  The boat is large so don't be afraid to pack a little extra protection or food.  All rods, reels, fighting harnesses and other angling accessories can be supplied on loan by SHARKS UNLIMITED if you do not have appropriate equipment of your own. Last but not least, it may be wise to take a couple of gravol the night before a departure to help fight off any chance of sea-sickness.
